Kitchen Backsplash Installation Done Right the First Time
A backsplash is small in square footage and huge in visual weight. We plan the layout so cuts land behind the range and inside cabinet lines, keep pattern courses level across walls that usually are not, and finish open ends with bullnose, Schluter profiles or clean caulked returns.
Subway, stacked, herringbone, zellige, hand-painted ceramic, full-height slab-look porcelain. We have set them all. We handle outlet cuts so cover plates sit flush, scribe neatly under cabinets, and seal the joint where tile meets countertop with color-matched silicone instead of crack-prone grout.
Most backsplashes are installed in one to two days with zero mess left behind: countertops protected, cabinets masked, and the kitchen usable the same evening.
Before you book, read how to choose a grout color that ages well. It is five minutes and it saves guessing.
In New Britain we install subway, herringbone, chevron, zellige, glass and stone mosaic backsplash tile, on a running bond, stacked, herringbone or chevron layout, with outlet cuts cut flush.

I can’t say enough good things about Daniel! Our kitchen backsplash came out absolutely beautiful. From the beginning, he was responsive, reliable, professional and genuinely easy to work with—which honestly feels like half the battle when hiring someone for your home! Daniel and the person working with him were incredibly clean throughout the entire process, cleaning and vacuuming everything when they finished. They were personable, respectful and clearly take a lot of pride in their work. We felt so comfortable with them that we didn’t think twice about leaving them in our home while we stepped out. Beautiful work, reliable, responsive and people you can genuinely trust in your home. I would recommend Daniel without hesitation - in fact, we recommended him to our friend to do his backsplash and he was also very happy with the work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Backsplash Questions, Straight Answers
No. Daniel and his own crew do the tile work. We do not hand your job to a third-party installer, so the same people who set the tile are the ones in your house every day of the install, and you deal with one company from the estimate through the final clean-up.
Most standard kitchens are tiled in one day and grouted the next. Full-height or complex patterns (herringbone, zellige) can add a day. Your kitchen remains usable every evening.
Yes. Tile should always meet finished countertops so the silicone joint lands correctly. If your counters are scheduled, we coordinate our date around them.
Sometimes, if the existing layer is firmly bonded, flat and moisture-free. But in most cases removal gives a cleaner edge at cabinets and outlets. We tell you honestly which is right after looking at the wall.
You do, with our input. We bring physical samples to the estimate, advise on pattern scale for your wall size, and recommend grout colors that keep lines crisp without shouting.
