Service Details
Custom Tile Installation Done Right the First Time
Every home has at least one surface that deserves better than vinyl or paint. Our custom tile installation service covers everything from herringbone entryways and hexagon bathroom floors to floor-to-ceiling fireplace surrounds and accent walls. We begin with layout planning (centering, thresholds, transitions and grout-joint calibration) so the finished field looks intentional from every angle in the room.
We set ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass and mosaic tile over properly prepared substrates, including cement backer board, uncoupling membranes and self-leveling compounds wherever the surface demands it. Every cut is wet-sawed for clean edges at outlets, corners and fixtures, and lippage is controlled with leveling clips on large-format work.
The result is tile work that stays flat, stays bonded and stays beautiful, protected by our 1-year workmanship warranty and by the substrate we built under it. If you can sketch it, we can usually tile it.
Before you book, read what tiling around a fireplace actually involves. It is five minutes and it saves guessing.
In New Britain we install custom mosaic, zellige, hexagon, penny and hand-painted tile, on one-off patterns and feature surfaces, set by hand.

Daniel did some tile work for me and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Absolutely amazing work and craftsmanship. He showed up on time, was very professional throughout the whole job, and did a fantastic job. You can tell he takes pride in his work and pays attention to the little details. Good, reliable contractors aren’t always easy to find, and Daniel is definitely one of them. The quality of the work was excellent, everything was done right, and he was worth every penny. I will definitely use him again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for quality tile work. Highly recommend! Daniel, thank you so much for getting the job done on short notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom Tile Questions, Straight Answers
No. Daniel and his own crew do the tile work. We do not hand your job to a third-party installer, so the same people who set the tile are the ones in your house every day of the install, and you deal with one company from the estimate through the final clean-up.
Yes. We regularly extend or repair existing fields (herringbone, running bond, stacked or diagonal), and we can usually help you track down a close match for discontinued tile so old and new work read as one continuous installation. The tile is yours to buy; we set what you buy.
Everything from 1-inch mosaic sheets to 48-inch large-format porcelain. Large format demands flatter substrates, different mortars and lippage control; we prepare surfaces to the tighter tolerance those products require.
Most projects are scheduled one to two weeks after the estimate is approved. Larger remodels are booked further out. We always confirm a start date in writing before any demolition begins.
You buy it, we set it. We are glad to meet you at a local tile room or supplier so you can see full-size samples and slabs before you buy. We do not sell tile.
