Commercial Tile Installation Done Right the First Time
Why We Work Direct
A commercial tile scope should not sit behind a layer of markup and coordination. When a general contractor manages the tile trade, the tile gets scheduled and supervised by someone who does not set tile, and the decisions that decide the outcome, how the layout runs and what the substrate needs, get answered late. We work direct on the tile scope. Daniel sets the tile, all stone and all marble, with his own crew. That comes with 10+ years of tile installation, a 1-year written workmanship warranty on every job, and commercial work we can point to: an office area tiled in Berlin, which is one of the 17 five-star Google reviews behind us, and commercial mosaic backsplash work photographed in New Britain and Avon.
Working Inside Your Phase
Commercial work is a sequence, not a day of labor, so we work inside the phase you have planned instead of asking the job to wait on us. We schedule around the trades already on site, and we leave the area protected and clean at the end of every day so the next trade can work in it. We come back after the plumbers and electricians close up, and we do not stand in the way of a trade that still needs that wall. The schedule we agree is written down day by day, with the days we need the space named, and it finishes with a punch list walkthrough before final payment.
What Is Behind the Wall
Commercial substrate conditions are the part nobody sees in a photograph. Older buildings carry uneven walls, older adhesive or mortar beds under the old tile, patched drywall, and slabs that are level in one place and not in another. When we open a wall, we measure flatness, check what is behind the surface and write down what we find, then we tell you what that condition means for the scope before we go further. If the wall needs different prep than the drawings showed, the change is written down and agreed with you before the work continues. What we need from you, early: the material on site, the approved pattern and layout, access to the space, and one named contact who can make decisions.
What We Document, and What We Don't Do
Everything we set is documented. You get photographs of the substrate before the tile goes on, the layout we used, and the finished condition at handover, so the file matches what an inspector or a future tenant sees. On the boundaries, we are a tile contractor, not a general contractor: we do not supply tile or stone, you buy the material and we set it, we do not install sinks, we do not remodel kitchens, and we do not do plumbing or electrical, so those trades pull their own permits. We are a registered Connecticut contractor, CT HIC #0706534, and commercial work sits outside Connecticut's Home Improvement Act, so we do not lean on that registration for it.
Before you book, read what a commercial substrate has to be before tile goes on it. It is five minutes and it saves guessing.
In New Britain we set commercial tile inside the phase you have planned, documenting the substrate before the tile goes down and the finished condition at handover.

Daniel did some tile work for me and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Absolutely amazing work and craftsmanship. He showed up on time, was very professional throughout the whole job, and did a fantastic job. You can tell he takes pride in his work and pays attention to the little details. Good, reliable contractors aren’t always easy to find, and Daniel is definitely one of them. The quality of the work was excellent, everything was done right, and he was worth every penny. I will definitely use him again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for quality tile work. Highly recommend! Daniel, thank you so much for getting the job done on short notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Commercial Tile Questions, Straight Answers
No. Daniel and his own crew do the tile work. We do not hand a commercial scope to a third-party installer, so the people who set the tile are the people you deal with, from the first layout through the final grout and silicone, with no supervision layer in between.
Yes. We come in inside your phase, schedule around the trades already on site, and leave the area protected and clean at the end of every day so the next trade can work in it. We come back after the plumbers and electricians close up. The schedule we agree is written down day by day, so tile is not the line item that slips.
We measure flatness, check what is behind the surface and write down what we find before the first tile goes on. Older buildings are where this matters most: uneven walls, older adhesive or mortar beds, patched drywall. If the condition changes the scope, the change is written and agreed with you before we continue, so nothing gets decided on the way and priced later.
Yes, to both. You get photographs of the substrate before the tile goes on, the layout we used, and the finished condition at handover, so the file matches what an inspector sees. We work to your inspection schedule and we tell you in advance which days we need the space, so an inspection is never something we find out about on the day.
A short list, and all of it early: the material on site, the approved pattern and layout, access to the space, and one named contact who can make decisions on the day. Tell us which trades are in the space on which days. Give us those and the tile scope moves on the dates we agreed, instead of becoming the item everyone waits on.
We set tile, all stone and all marble, and we do not supply any of it. You buy the material, we set it. We do not install sinks, we do not remodel kitchens, and we are not a general contractor. Plumbing and electrical are other trades and they pull their own permits. Commercial work sits outside the Home Improvement Act, so our residential registration is not the credential for it.
